Gentle Giant Counseling

"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn't mean you can, should, or need to do it alone." - Lisa Olivera

Individual
Mentoring

Individual therapy not only allows for communication in a one-on-one setting to discover the heart of the concern, but it also invites conversation to find healthy ways to operate during challenging times.

Couples Coaching

We all know that disagreements are a natural part of any relationship, but if you and your partner are finding it harder to coexist harmoniously, now may be the time for you to explore couples coaching to find a solution that is right for you.

Child and Family Guidance

In order to better understand the children in our lives, we must find the communication methods in which each child feels comfortable speaking through, meeting each child with understanding and acceptance, and creating a safe environment for families to flourish.

My Approach

I believe in being "client-centered" in my approach while combining Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with other modalities to treat children, families, and individuals. Your story, culture, and values are the foundational pieces of our journey together. Your goals and desires are all possible. Through listening, understanding, and honest conversation, I will apply specific styles and techniques to help you reveal your past to create a better future.

About me

My name is Reginald Gilmore II (he/him), and I am from Chattanooga, Tennessee! I  obtained my Master's degree in social work from UTC and ever since, I have been in love with this field of work. When I am not in a clinical setting, I love hiking and adventuring with my partner and our mastiff puppy Melo, going on adventures around beautiful Oregon, or reading indoors on gloomy days.

Emotional pain is not something that should be hidden away and never spoken about. There is truth in your pain, there is growth in your pain, but only if it's first brought out into the open.
